The Creek occurrence is located on a creek 9 kilometres northwest of Gallic Lake, about 114 kilometres north of the community of Dease Lake.

Chromite occurs with olivine in serpentinized peridotite of the Upper Paleozoic Sylvester Allochthon (Permian Slide Mountain Complex).
